I did this face so fast that I didn’t even have time to take photos with the sketch and the whole process. This face was painted in my Derwent Art book with sketchy paper, but the papes are thick enough to take enough water so I can build multiple layers of color.
It started with a sketch I randomly thought about and then I added Posca markers, which I normally use only for accents, but this time I thought it would be nice to see how they cover the whole skin and build up layers of color. I was so fascinated by the process that I forgot to take some photos!
At this stage it’s almost ready and only needs some final touches, like adding black for depth around the eyes and face line, as well as around hair line, just to emphasize more her features.
I love her purple eye color and how her hair stands out so well with the green background.
