30 de portrete in 30 de zile – 8/30

Pentru schita de astazi am incercat ceva nou (sau relativ nou): creionul PITT pastel rosu sangvia de la Faber Castell. Daca ati mai desenat in creioane pastel sau batoane in pastel cretat, atunci probabil stiti ca pastelul cretat se intinde foarte usor cu degetele, desi poate fi intins si cu o estompa. Se pot crea astfel degradeuri de culoare pentru a crea umbre si lumini ce dau desenului mai multa profunzime.

Am avut drept model o femeie din alta epoca, care mi-a atras atentia prin voalul pe care il are in jurul gatului, coafura de epoca (probabil 1900) si privirea ei visatoare pe care eu cred ca nu am reusit s-o captez prea fidel.

Mai sus puteti vedea cat de frumos se intinde creionul pastel. Atentie insa, il puteti intinde cu mana fara sa vreti: in timp ce va concentrati pe o parte a desenului, alta se poate “sterge”.

De data asta mi-a luat doar 30 de minute s-o desenez, tot in jurnalul handmade in format A5. Si iata si modelul dupa care am desenat. Voi ce parere aveti de cum a iesit? Hmm, data viitoare sigur o sa iasa mai bine!

  1. I think you did well on this one. I don’t think it’s important at this point to fully capture the original face. Yours turned out great. You seem to have that talent for drawing eyes. They usually say something! Keep it up, Cristina.

      Yes, I think eyes are best captured here and in other drawings I did. And I know it’s not that important to capture her exactly as she appears in the photo. These drawing/sketching exercises are so great! Why don’t you join the challenge, Connie?!

      1. Oh, I’d love to take on the challenge someday or soon. But January’s full packed with family and school events. I’ll see if I could do it in Feb or March.
