This course was created to show you that YOU CAN draw faces and yes, you can do it even with your non-dominant hand! You can pick any subject you want, but because I love drawing whimsical (imaginary) faces, this course is going to be all about faces.
Explore with me a simple technique of drawing with your non-dominant hand and wow yourself in the process. With a little practice, you’ll get some awesome results! This is a great exercise for the brain, and you’ll see that you discover new things about yourself in the process. A playful process in which we dive into the “imperfectly perfect”. Grab your pen and a piece of paper and let’s get started!
And the best part? We are going to use acrylics to add some color to our faces! You will see how a simple sketch turns into a painted whimsical face in almost no time. Grab your art supplies and let’s draw some faces with our non-dominant hand!
ART SUPPLIES LIST
First of all, you don’t have to buy any fancy art supplies. It’s great to have them, but when you are just getting started, it’s better to try your hand with what you have around your studio.
The best part is that you don’t need too many of them for this course. You are going to use basic art supplies that anyone has around, like a pen, colored pencils, or markers.
What I use in this course:
- Pen (any pen will do, I use a purple pen, but you can use a black or blue)
- Ballpen (any color you like)
- POSCA markers (if you don’t have a POSCA, any marker will do)
- Colored / watercolor pencils (any brand, any color you prefer)
- Art journal / sketchbook with 105 gsm / 70lb paper
