Journal spread: collage: tweaked proportions

In the times of crisis, art is a the bond that keeps us balanced and present. While you cannot go outside too much, you can definitely create new art pages. Depending on how much time you have in this imposed quarantine, you can even create more art than usually. I have grabbed my small B6 art journal and created a new collage spread, this time using a paper to cover the whole spread with collage. Again, this face was sketched on printer paper and the features of the face are “slightly” tweaked, meaning her eyes are closer than they are supposed to be.

At first I wanted to draw over and modify this face, but after I collaged it in the journal, I kinda started to like the way it was centered and decided to leave it as it is and add color and background until I got the final result you can see in the pictures.

And because the page alignment of the face asked for a body, I did her a white dress with bouffant short sleeves. I don’t usually draw torsos, but now I think I should do it more often. 😉

In fact, I don’t know if I can call this complete, but I like it as it is. I might add some text later on, who knows?! And, why not?

Do you create more or lees art these days, weeks, months? Woulf you love to create more? Would you have vision or get stuck? It’s up to you!

With love,

Cristina
