Pencil sketch – Girl with flying hair

Pencil sketch - Girl with flying hair by Cristina Parus @ creativemag.ro

Once in a while I really feel I want to use just a pencil and my paper stump to draw a face. So this is how I’ve started drawing this face. It doesn’t have a real correspondent and I took her out of my imagination and into the paper of my Canson One Art Book journal. Of course I wanted to color her at first, but then when I saw how gorgeous she has become just by using the graphite pencil, I decided to leave it as is and call it done.

Cristina

  • It looks so light and refreshing! It’s good to just make art with a pencil. Lately I’ve been doing a lot of line and wash. I missed watercolor sketches / life sketching so much. I’ll try to blog about them next time.

New blog post about my paper bag journal is now up at http://artjournalingph.blogspot.com

Thanks for commenting and visiting. I hope you’re well!

I saw that, Connie! Very beautiful! I also miss sometimes pencil sketches or light watercolor washes….and sometimes all I want is to create some mixed media piece. It depends on the mood, but also on how much time I have reserved for art…
