Old drawings – new pages

Although most of the time I start from scratch with a new page, sometimes I find myself “browsing” old journals that never come completed. And that’s fine because we all need “art diversity” and that’s what all these journals bring to the table. They are all different with all kinds of paper types and grains. I have a bunch to choose from, and that’s so much fun. This art journal was made out of a book I bought precisely for this purpose: to transform it …

New Art Supplies by Cristina Parus @ creativemag.ro

New Art supplies!

The other day I was surprised to find that Auchan has extended its crafts and DIY shelves with more popular items and art supplies that serve the purpose of art journaling and mixed media. I found these cute acrylic stamps that can be used both in art journals but also to create cards or in bullet journals. And there were plenty other goodies to pick from the shelf, and all at a bargain price! I really have to visit again soon and buy some …

11+ artists that inspired my art journey

I remember when I started with art journaling..! So many pages, so many artists! I felt overwhelmed by the variety of styles and mediums I had discovered in such a short time just by searching  old Google. There are many artists that inspired me to create over the time. It won’t come out as you want, but don’t you worry, keep on trying! And you are doing it just for fun, right? So enjoy along the process and don’t bother if …

Space for journaling - by Cristina Parus @ creativemag.ro

Space for journaling

I have drawn and painted this face some time ago, but never posted about it. It’s a profile face I did from imagination, although it’s kind of realistic face. I tend to draw faces that get out of the paper borders and leave space for some other drawings or maybe journaling. This page was completed with this purpose in mind: to journal and share some thoughts. Although I haven’t filmed everything, below you can see the video making for this face. Am desenat si pictat aceasta …
