Here is a list of what you’ll need to get started. Don’t worry if you don’t have all of these art supplies, you can use whatever you have in your stash and grow your collection as you continue to develop your style.

I love Gesso and in this course, I’m using white Gesso from Daler Rowney. Gesso can be used in various ways, from priming the pages of the journals to simply using it as white. It’s so versatile!

• Art journal of your choice – one that can handle water well
• Regular pencil
• Watercolor crayons or watercolor pans
• Acrylic paints
• Gesso
• Gel sticks or gelatos
• POSCA markers
