Embrace the imperfections of your Art Journal

    /

You have ten minutes to play in your journal…. You keep on thinking about drawing or painting something…. But it NEEDS to be perfect…. I got you! Often times many glorify perfection while the concept of imperfection has found a haven in the realm of art journaling. The pages of your art journal need not be flawless; in fact, they often come alive when they reflect the raw, unfiltered essence of your thoughts and emotions. So let’s celebrate the imperfect, a statement to the idea that things don’t have to be perfect in your art journal. Liberating Yourself from Expectations To me, art journals are personal spaces where you can…

How to make your own watercolor palette

    /

When it comes to art supplies, there are so many options out there from which you can choose, but this is not making things any easier. So I thought why not create my own watercolour pan palette with the colours I adore? What you need to do first is decide what watercolour pans are you going to use. There are plenty available to purchase on the market,…

    #100dayproject – days 37-45

    /

I only have another 30 faces to draw, sketch or paint, but I’m way behind with posting them here on the blog. So I’m going to post multiple days in one blog post. Just like I did on this post, where you can check faces # 34-35-36 🙂 Some oof the faces will get painted with acrylics, while others are better without any paint. 🎨 Just pencil With a message Some faces are sad while others have that dreamy look. Most of them will probably “wear” other expressions when I’ll add acrylic paints. What’s new in your art journal?!

Nurturing Creativity: Your Kid’s Artistic Journey

    /

Every child is born with a natural sense of curiosity and creativity. From the first time they pick up a crayon to the moment they proudly present their masterpiece, a child’s artistic journey is a fascinating and important part of their development. Let’s delve into the significance of your kid’s art, exploring how it nurtures creativity, fosters emotional expression, and contributes to their overall growth. The Canvas of Imagination Your child’s art is more than just lines and colors on a piece of paper; it’s a canvas of their imagination. When they pick up that crayon or paintbrush, they’re embarking on a journey where there are no limits. Whether they’re…

    100dayproject – day 24

    /

A much-needed break from whimsical faces comes with this simple yet so relaxing page I did today in my art journal. Colorful circles with playful look that are perfect when you want to relax and create something beautiful without the fuss of calling it art… Be it or not, this was a call for relaxation process. At first I thought these circles can be flowers, but then a simple may-green gel pen made them look beautiful so I decided to let the be just circles. So relax and let go of any expectations & just draw or paint something. This is so much fun! See you tomorrow with another page!
