Exploring the Beauty of Little Art Journals 🌼
Art journals have become a popular means of artistic expression, allowing artists to combine various forms of media in a personal and intimate format. While larger sketchbooks and canvases are more traditional, small art journals offer a unique and distinct canvas for the artists to explore their creativity. Here are some pros and cons aspects you should to take into consideration when choosing your art journal as a compact creative space. Why I love Small Art Journals One of the most significant advantages of small art journals is their portability. These compact journals can easily fit into a backpack, purse, or pocket, making them ideal for on-the-go adventures outside of…

100dayproject – day 24
A much-needed break from whimsical faces comes with this simple yet so relaxing page I did today in my art journal. Colorful circles with playful look that are perfect when you want to relax and create something beautiful without the fuss of calling it art… Be it or not, this was a call for relaxation process. At first I thought these circles can be flowers, but then a simple may-green gel pen made them look beautiful so I decided to let the be just circles. So relax and let go of any expectations & just draw or paint something. This is so much fun! See you tomorrow with another page!

#the100dayproject – day 1
Horay! Here it’s the first day of #the100dayproject! Are you ready to get started?! For the first day, I wanted something pretty simple and abstract, so I got my neocolors 2 and got started with a scribbling all over the spread. 🎨 It doesn’t have to be something fancy, just some color out there in the page making sure I didn’t mix the warms with the cools. I’ve used some flat big brush to move the colors around the pages… And the background looks like this 😉 And then all kind of marks started to emerge… Y voila! Tomorrow I might try a sketch of a face… ❤️

Small abstract acrylic painting art 💜
Although I still love to draw faces, I’m more and more captivated by abstract paintings. In my last blog post, I was listing a few of the art journal pages I was working on. Since then, I’ve created more abstracts, but also some new face sketches I will post later on the blog. For now, I wanna show you a beautiful abstract painting I did on mixed media/watercolor paper – it looks so good and the colors are vibrant and bold. Here are some of the steps I followed and how I got started. First, I’ve created a loose background with Neocolors 2 watercolor crayons, then I added water and…

It’s time for new (art) projects!
It is something about September. I don't know exactly what it is, but it has a charm that absolutely resonates with my feelings and emotions right now. It's time for a warm tea, it's time to change the wardrobe, get another project started. It's time for a change and for new beginnings, for putting things in order, for establishing a new habit, starting a new practice, cleaning your house energies, and breathing in the new autumnal fresh cold air. Does this sound like you? Well, it sure resonates and sounds very much with my deepest self.
