Embrace the imperfections of your Art Journal

    /

You have ten minutes to play in your journal…. You keep on thinking about drawing or painting something…. But it NEEDS to be perfect…. I got you! The pages of your art journal need not be flawless; in fact, they often come alive when they reflect the raw, unfiltered essence of your thoughts and emotions. So let’s celebrate the imperfect, a statement to the idea that things don’t have to be perfect in your art journal. Liberating Yourself from Expectations To me, art journals are personal spaces where you can…

Using my son’s designs to create memories

    /

If you have kids you definitely know how much they draw and paint all kind of things, so there are loose paper sheets everywhere and dozens of notebooks all over the place. They simply love to draw! My son is no exception, so he likes to draw all kind of things, like flowers, lines and different shapes. Most of these drawings are sketched on loose sheets of paper, so many them get lost all over the house. I throw away the majority of them, but some I like to keep and repurpose. They can serve as inspiration for new pages and I also like to keep them as a dear…

How to make your own watercolor palette

    /

When it comes to art supplies, there are so many options out there from which you can choose, but this is not making things any easier. So I thought why not create my own watercolour pan palette with the colours I adore? What you need to do first is decide what watercolour pans are you going to use. There are plenty available to purchase on the market,…

    #100dayproject – days 37-45

    /

I only have another 30 faces to draw, sketch or paint, but I’m way behind with posting them here on the blog. So I’m going to post multiple days in one blog post. Just like I did on this post, where you can check faces # 34-35-36 🙂 Some oof the faces will get painted with acrylics, while others are better without any paint. 🎨 Just pencil With a message Some faces are sad while others have that dreamy look. Most of them will probably “wear” other expressions when I’ll add acrylic paints. What’s new in your art journal?!

Exploring the Beauty of Little Art Journals 🌼

    /

Art journals have become a popular means of artistic expression, allowing artists to combine various forms of media in a personal and intimate format. While larger sketchbooks and canvases are more traditional, small art journals offer a unique and distinct canvas for the artists to explore their creativity. Here are some pros and cons aspects you should to take into consideration when choosing your art journal as a compact creative space. Why I love Small Art Journals One of the most significant advantages of small art journals is their portability. These compact journals can easily fit into a backpack, purse, or pocket, making them ideal for on-the-go adventures outside of…
