Baby with towel

Drawing baby faces can be overwhelming, especially if you do it after a moving child. But working after a photo it’s way easier and a great practice. I’m working again in the wrapped paper journal and I’m taking advantage of the brown paper to paint portraits. It helps a lot with shading and skin tones are faster resembled when the background is of this beige, tan color.

I don’t have early stages of this page, it happened too quick and natural and I completely forgot to take photos in the process. I’ve used colored pencils to draw and color this baby face and then finished with a touch of white pastel pencil for highlights.

And so November started….and yes, there is a towel on his head, although it may not seem at first. 😉

Pe curand,
Cristina
