Couple in love – mixed media page

Every love story has it’s own way of coming to life: just like this couple in my art journal. At first I only wanted to draw the girl, but then seemed so natural to draw the boy behind her. And not in any pose, but kissing her neck! 

Fiecare poveste de dragoste are propriul sau mod de a se manifesta: la fel ca si cuplul asta la mine in jurnal. La inceput am vrut sa desenez doar fata, dar in mod natural a aparut si baiatul in spatele ei. Si nu in orice postura, ci sarutand-o pe gat!

I’m working in my Derwent ART BOOK ONE, a sketchbook I transformed into an art journal. It has very thin pages of only 100 gm, but they allow working with water anyway. And if you add gesso to the page, even better. For this page I’ve used Caran d’Ache neocolor 2 crayons, Derwent AQUATONE, Derwent INKtense pencils and some acrylic paints. 

Lucrez intr-un jurnal Derwent ART BOOK ONE, un caiet de schite pe care l-am transformat intr-un art jurnal. Are pagini foarte subtiri cu o hartie de doar 100gr, dar accepta apa destul de bine. Daca mai adaugi si gesso, cu atat mai bine. Pentru pagina asta am folosit creioane acuarelabile Caran d’Ache neocolor 2, creioane Derwent AQUATONE, creioane Derwent INKtense si cateva acrilice.
