Very Scrap Art Journaling May Challenge

Without even realizing, for this spread I’ve used the primary colors: red, yellow and blue, also the colors of the Romanian flag! I’ve started with a stamped page where I used my own handmade stamp pattern, and added yellow acrylic on top. Because I was just urging to draw a face sooner than later, I scratched the paint with an ice scraper, but you can use an old credit card. I bought a similar one this spring when it was less than a dollar just to play with it in my art journal pages. I knew I’m gonna need one! And the best part about it is that you can use it to create nice marks on the paper.

Fara sa-mi dau seama, in aceasta pagina am folosit culorile primare: rosu, galben si albastru, culorile steagului Romaniei! Am inceput cu un fundal stampilat cu o stampila creata de mine peste care am adaugat acrilic galben. Pentru ca nu ami aveam rabdare si vroiam sa desenez o fata cat mai repede, am ‘sters’ efectiv pagina cu o racleta de zapada, dar puteti folosi si un card de credit vechi. Am cumparat una similara asta primavara cand era la aproximativ 1,5 ron, doar pentru a ma juca cu ea un jurnalele mele. Stiam eu c-o sa am nevoie de una! Si partea cea mai buna e ca puteti folosi racleta pentru a crea semne pe hartie atunci cand vopseaua acrilica este inca neuscata.

Along with the acrylics I’ve used gesso for the face instead of white acrylic paint. Her hair and face is a mix between graphite pencil {GRIP 2001} and white gesso.

This challenge was to create a page inspired by a book who made the most impact on us, and my book is called Physic Intelligence: Tune in and Discover the Power of Your Intuition! For me, this book it’s about awakening your senses and connecting with your true self. It’s about listening your intuition more and leaving fear out at the door.

Pe langa acrilice am folosit si gesso alb pentru fata in loc de acrilic alb. Fata si parul fetei sunt un mix intre creionul grafit {GRIP 2001} si gesso alb.

Provocarea asta presupunea sa cream o pagina inspirata dupa o carte care ne-a placut foarte mult, iar cartea aleasa de mine se numeste Inteligenta Extrasenzoriala: Acordeaza-te la alte dimensiuni si descopera-ti puterea intuitiei! Pentru mine, aceasta carte vorbeste despre trezirea simturilor si conectarea cu adevaratul sine. Este despre ascultarea intuitiei mai mult si excluderea fricii care ne paralizeaza.

Using the white gesso is giving her some kind of ghost looking I just adore. Alternating between white gesso and graphite pencil is so much fun!

Folosind gesso alb ai impresia ca fata arata ca o fantona si pur si simplu ador acest look. Alternanta dintre gesso alb si creionul grafit este atat de distractiva!

Wasn’t my intend to totally cover the background, so you can still see bits of stamp pattern underneath the upper layer. It just add to the spread! The houses are made with Tam’s signature stencils. The lotus flower was made also using stencils, this time from Ki-Sign. Just lovely!

Nu am avut de gand sa acopar in totalitate fundalul stampilat, asa ca inca se poate intrezarii modelul stampilei pe sub ultimul strat de acrilic. Pur si simplu adaug un plus de farmec! Casutele din stanga sunt facute cu sabloanele Tamarei. Floarea de lotus a fost facuta tot cu sabloane, de data asta de la Ki-Sign. Minunat!
