Whimsical face with pink hair

I wasn’t sure I want to finish this face as it looks kind of weird, but eventually I got caught into the process and went with the flow: it didn’t come out so bad, so I added colors to *beautify* the page even more.

Nu eram hotărâtă daca vreau să termin aceasta față la cât de ciudat arata, dar într-un final m-am lăsat prinsă în procesul de creație: nu a ieșit chiar asa cum voiam eu, asa ca am adaugat culoare pentru a *infrumuseta* página si mai mult.

I did this pencil sketch a while back in my art journal with the intention to add colors at some point, but forgot about this page until recently when I decided to finish this face.

Am desenat schita asta în art jurnalul meu acum ceva timp cu intenția de a adăuga culoare la un moment dat, dar am uitat complet de pagina pana dw curând cand m-am hotărât să termin fața asta.

Only that in the meantime, I colored a face on the back of the page using some very bright markers. In fact, I was testing them to see how intense the color is. And it is, well, a little bit too intense since it got through the paper.. But never mind, I decided to use gesso to cover the page…

Doar că între timp am colorat o fata pe partea cealaltă a foii folosind niste markere în culori foarte vibrante. De fapt, testam aceste markere sa vad cat de intensa este culoarea. Si este, ei bine, putin cam prea intensa din moment ce se vede pe cealaltă parte… Dar nu contează, am decis sa folosesc gesso pentru a acoperi pata…

And so I did, using not one layer of gesso, not two but three layers! And the green on her cheek still shows through… But I embrace this imperfection and didn’t care too much about it. I guess I could use some acrylic paints to cover this green spot, but maybe it’s interesting to leave it as it is.

Si am facut fix asta, aplicand nu doar un strat, nu doua, ci trei straturi de gesso! Si totusi, pata verde e tot pe față..Dar am imbratisat aceasta imperfectiune si nu mi-a pasat prea mult. Cred ca as putea folosi acrilice peste patq verde, dar poate e mai interesant sa o las asa cum e.

On the other page you can see a face that could be one of a male, but to be honest, don’t know what my intention was when I drew that face.

Pe cealaltă pagina puteți vedea o față care ar putea fi un bărbat, dar aa va spun sincer, nu mai stiu ce-am intentionat sa fac atunci cand am desenat fața.

These days I started to review my art journals, at least some of them, and complete any sketches or drawings waiting for colors and sparkle ✨✨✨, be it watercolor or acrylic paints.

Zilele acestea am inceput sa revad art jurnalele mele, cel puțin onparte din ele, si sa termin anumite schite sau desene care așteaptă sa fie colorate si slefuite, fie cu acuarele sau acrilice.
